UCI BMX Racing World Cup – Sarrians Rounds 1 & 2
Location: Sarrians, France Dates: 14–15 June 2025 Athletes: Ross Cullen, Rico Bearman, Emily Hutt, Isabel May

🏁 Ross Cullen (GBR – Elite Men)
Ross showed sharp form in Round 1, reaching the semi-finals in a stacked field alongside Romain Mahieu and Joris Daudet. His gate starts and line choices were clean and tactical. In Round 2, a setback in the semi-final ended his run early, but his composure and consistency were evident throughout the weekend.

“Ross looked composed and tactical—he’s clearly building momentum for the season.”

🏁 Rico Bearman (NZL – U23 Men)
Rico placed 6th in the final of Round 1 with a time of 32.982s, earning 78 points. In Round 2, he had a broken crank in the semi-final and did not advance. Despite the setback, his pace and aggression were unmistakable, laying the groundwork for the next rounds to come.

“Felt great on the bike… just didn’t get the result I wanted.” — Rico Bearman

🏁 Emily Hutt (GBR – U23 Women)
Emily was a standout across both rounds. She secured a 3rd place podium in Round 1 and followed up with a 2nd place finish in Round 2, clocking 36.040s. Her high-low move in the final corner nearly stole the win from Dutch leader Michelle Wissing, showcasing her race IQ and tactical flair.

“Emily’s final sprint was pure race IQ—she’s not just fast, she’s strategic.”

🏁 Isabel May (AUS – Elite Women)
Bella was unfortunately sidelined due to a crash leading up to Sarrians and had to return to Australia. She did not compete in either round.
